Testing Information
MDI conducts evaluations of individuals at all eight centers. These evaluations do not result in an official diagnosis of dyslexia, but do determine if there are indications of dyslexia that would benefit from specialized remedial reading instruction.
MDI also provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations at the Abrams Teaching Laboratory in Lansing and at the Detroit Metro Center in Berkley Michigan, which do result in official diagnoses. These neuropsychological evaluations are conducted by Robert D. Smith, PhD, a licensed neuropsychologist. Although Dr. Smith is currently only conducting evaluations in Lansing and Berkley, MDI is planning to expand this service to the other six MDI centers in the future.
